Project Level Up! is an experimental activity for YDS! CDO. It is also known as YDS Ranking System. In this project, Duelists may show their talents in playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game and level up according to their wins/loss and other activities. This is to show the comptetitive potential of a duelist.

Ranking system is based on MMORPGs' levelling system. Should a duelist wins a duel/match, he/she earns experience points.

This experience points is the key element for levelling up.

How does this work?

Both players should agree if they will be having a single duel, or a match duel.

1 Duel = 5 exp points x level + 10
1 Match (3 duels, best of two) = 20 exp points x level + 10
Flawless Victory Bonus = +75 exp points
1 Duel lost = 2 exp points x level +5
1 Match lost = 10 exp points x level +5

So if you are a Level 5 duelist, then you won 2 duels, you will earn 35 exp points, plus, if it is a match, you will be earning 110 exp points, with a total of 145 exp points. If you won a 2-0 Match, you will earn a 75 exp point bonus, which makes your total exp earnings to 220 exp points.


As for a losing duelist, let us say he is level 7, and he lost a duel, he will earn 19 exp points from that duel. If it is a match he will earn 43 exp points (19*2+5)

0-1 Level Gap = 100% of exp is gained
2 Level Gap = 80% of exp is gained
3 Level Gap = 60% of exp is gained
4-6 Level Gap = 50% of exp is gained
7-8 Level Gap = 30% of exp is gained
9-10 Level Gap = 20% of exp is gained
11-above = 10% of exp is gained

So if you will be battling a level 10 player and you are still level 1, you will be only be receiving 10% of the total experience points.

For example: A level 5 duelist battles a level 8 duelist, and level 5 duelist wons the match (2-1 match)

1st Duel: Level 5 duelist won = 35 exp points (5*5+10)
2nd Duel: Level 5 duelist lost = 15 exp points (2*5+5)
3rd Duel: Level 5 duelist won = 35 exp points (5*5+10)
Total Duel Exp Points = 85 exp points
Match Exp Points = 110 exp points
Total Duel and Match Exp Points = 195 exp points
Penalty = 60% exp points only
Total Exp points earned = 117 exp points (195*0.60)

Same goes to a losing duelist in a match.

1st Duel: Level 8 duelist lost = 21 exp points
2nd Duel: Level 8 duelist won = 50 exp points
3rd Duel: Level 8 duelist lost = 21 exp points
Total Duel Exp Points = 92 exp points
Match Exp Points = 85 exp points
Total Duel and Match Exp Points = 177 exp points
Penalty = 60% exp points only
Total Exp Points = 106 exp points

Seeing the result of both duelist, Level 8 duelist gained a fairly large amount of exp points as for Level 5 duelist even though Level 5 duelist won the match, Simply because, higher level duelists exp cap for their level is large.

How can I gain more exp points other than just dueling stuff?? Its rather boring.

We have this "Weekly Quests"

Examples of Weekly Quests

Won 20 Matches in one week = 300 exp points

If you are able to win 20 matches, you will receive 300 exp points tax free.
But weekly quests have different categories in order to make the ranking system balanced depending on the Duelist Level

Level 1 - 3
Level 4 - 6
Level 7 - 10
Level 11 - 13
Level 14 - 17
Level 18 - 19
Level 20

For example, Level 4 just completed a quest, he/she will earn exp points on a specific quest that corresponds to his/her level.
Exp Points are given if a duelist completed a certain quest.

Wait, How can we record the wins and loss that we have?

You will be writing your scores in an index card, you will be submitting this index cards to the GM/Mods before the turf closes.

How to write your scores

Example:

2. Single Duel: vs Enya Leop (level 3) = lost

After giving this to the GM/Mods, they will be recording this data in the computer.

FAQs:

Q. Can I duel a person 30 times (Single Duel x 30)

A. No, You can only battle a duelist one at a time, for example, I invited Miki to a Single Duel, I won. After that, I cannot challenge Miki to have another Single Duel because we agreed on the first duel to have a Single duel only. If I want to challenge Miki again, I need to challenge a different person, after that, I can challenge Miki again. This is to avoid exploits.

Q. I don't wanna join this sh*t

A. If you are a YDS member, you are obliged to join. /trollface.jpg


Q. What about those insecured people?

A. They should work hard to achieve such feat. If they continue that insecurity, might as well kick their assess.


Q. I don't want to have Competitive aura with my friends.

A. Ever since CDOYGOD has been established, we have this competitive aura within the group. Nothing went bad after re-establishing CDOYGOD to YDS.


Q. Who the F is JesS? Why is he an Admin WTF?

A. I have no F idea.

As for the Index Card thingy, We will be selling index cards at the Turf.

Submission of Index Cards will be done everyday, before Bogz Island closes.

Q: if e.g single duel ming lowee.. daog xa, then i ask for a match duel? d na pde? (Damjel)

A: Yes, it is not allowed, you need to challenge another person to a single duel or match. after that, you may able to challenge lowee for a match duel.

If the situations goes like this, you challenged lowee for a match, then he won the match, you asked for a rematch. - you may able to rematch lowee for a match duel (damn redundant kaayo haha) but you can only do this once per day.

When having a Rematch, In the index card, you should write "RM" after the first match record.

Example:

Mark Jayson Juanito Level 3
Match Duel : Lowee Oliva (Level 3) = Lost ; RM = Win

In the Index Card, both players should sign their signature everytime they are challenged by a duelist, same goes to the challenger.
